COMPLETION CENTER:

Air Evac Lifeteam’s 50,000-square-foot Completion Center, built in 2006, employs more than 60 aviation professionals proficient in mechanics, avionics, sheet metal fabrication, and aircraft painting, with a deep technical expertise developed over years of specialized experience with the Bell 206 LongRanger helicopter.

Each aircraft purchased by Air Evac undergoes a rigorous FAA-approved refurbishment process, whereby the aircraft is largely remanufactured, including a complete overhaul or replacement of all parts, components, structures and avionics. The end result is an essentially new aircraft in the Company’s standardized configuration, including an Allison Rolls-Royce C30 engine, Garmin 396 GPS with XM Weather overlay, Garmin 340 GPS VHF, Baker Mode S. Transponder, SkyTrac® satellite tracking, Intellistart®, and Air Evac’s proprietary litter system.

In an environment of significant aircraft demand from operators and limited supply from OEMs, Air Evac Lifeteam’s vertical integration strategy via its Completion Center, capable of an annual throughput of more than 25 aircraft, ensures a unique ability with the air-medical industry for maintaining an advanced, technologically-updated fleet while supporting future expansion.
