Seth Myers

President & CEO

Seth Myers brings over 25 years of experience in the emergency air medical industry. Mr. Myers joined Air Evac Lifeteam in January 2003. Prior to joining the executive team at Air Evac Lifeteam, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of Med Serve International and Senior Associate for Fitch & Associates. He began his air medical career as a flight nurse for ShandsCair at the University of Florida where he later served as program director. He served on the board of the Association of Air Medical Services from 1998-2003. Mr. Myers received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Luther College and his MBA from Jacksonville University.

Thomas Cook

Vice President & General Counsel

Thomas Cook has been a corporate attorney for over 15 years. Prior to joining Air Evac Lifeteam in July 2006, Mr. Cook was with a private law firm specializing in commercial transactions, financing, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures. Prior to his most recent private practice experience, Mr. Cook was General Counsel for a St. Louis publicly traded company and a partner in a large St. Louis corporate law firm. Mr. Cook earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kan., as well as an MBA and JD degree.

David Hinton

Senior Vice President of Finance and Controller

Mr. Hinton has over 7 years of experience in the aviation industry and more than 15 years of experience in accounting and finance. Prior to joining Air Evac Lifeteam, Mr. Hinton was with Pinnacle Airlines Corp. and served in various finance and accounting roles most recently as Vice President and Corporate Controller. He was previously a Certified Public Accountant and Audit Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Hinton obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Dewayne Kimbrough

Vice President of Revenue Management

Mr. Kimbrough has more than 22 years of experience at the executive level in Management of Finance, Accounting and Cash Flow and Treasury in rapidly growing companies. He has spent the past 10 years in the health care industry's finance and reimbursement sector. Prior to joining Air Evac Lifeteam, Mr. Kimbrough spent 5 years as Corporate Controller for a grocery chain located in 3 states operating 23 stores. He also has 7 years experience as a plant controller in the manufacturing industry. Mr. Kimbrough earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Missouri State University and professional affiliations and accomplishments include a Certified Medical Transport Executive, a General Class Amateur Radio Communication Licenses and a FAA Certified Private Pilot.

Keith Hovey

Vice President of Membership

Mr. Hovey brings extensive experience in all areas of Senior Management, Sales and Marketing and Manufacturing Operations to his position at Air Evac Lifeteam. He served in the U.S. Air Force and later moved back to his hometown of West Plains where he began a career in the hardwood flooring industry, serving as Plant Manager and General Manager. His experience includes working in Acquisition Transitions, Organization Restructuring, Cost Analysis and Reduction, Labor Relations, Public Relations, Project Management, Maintenance Management, Purchasing, Human Resources and Safety and Environmental Management.

Daniel Sweeza

Vice President of Operations

Mr. Sweeza brings more than 18 years of healthcare experience to his role at Air Evac EMS, Inc. Before joining Air Evac in 1994 as a flight paramedic, he served as supervisor for a hospital-based ambulance service. He has 11 years of combined management experience and 15 years of air medical experience.  While at Air Evac, he has held the positions of Flight Paramedic, Base Manager, Area Manager, Corporate Paramedic Manager, Director of Paramedics and Director of Base Operations. Mr. Sweeza is a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic. He holds an Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, both from the University of Phoenix, and is currently enrolled in their MBA program. He has completed the Certified Medical Transport Executive Program and is an FAA Certified Private Pilot.

Andy Arthurs

Senior Director of Base Operations

Involved with EMS for more than 30 years, Mr. Arthurs knows the industry from the paramedic level up. Before joining Air Evac, he was Chief Operating Officer with MedFlight of Ohio. He became a firefighter in 1977 and from 1980 to 2003 he served as a flight paramedic and ground paramedic where he worked for various EMS agencies. He was also the President, CEO and Founder of Medic Transport, Inc., in Westerville, Ohio, starting the company in 1982. Mr. Arthurs was Director of Emergency Management Agency/Office of Homeland Security in Coshocton County, Ohio in 2004. He holds an Associate's Degree in EMS and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Master's Degree in Business Administration.

Tony Bonham

Director of Operations

Mr. Bonhan first became interested in aviation while in high school, later earning his Bachelor of Science in Aviation. In 1987, Mr. Bonham started a successful helicopter flight school in Jonesboro, Ark., and also was involved in agricultural flying operations and helicopter sales. An FAA-Designated Pilot Examiner since 1989, Mr. Bonham first flew HEMS for Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock and was one of the company instructors, a position he held for 3 years. From 1992-1999, he flew for the Memphis Medical Center Air Ambulance Service, Inc., and served as an instructor. Mr. Bonham started flying a Lear Jet for corporate and EMS purposes in 2000 and in 2001 joined Air Evac Lifeteam.

Dennis Cleaves

Director of Maintenance

Mr. Cleaves is no stranger to the aviation industry, having spent 27 years working in helicopter maintenance. A native of West Palm Beach, Fla., he began his aviation career in the United States Marine Corps, where he was CH46 crew chief from 1982 to 1986. After his military career he worked as a commercial helicopter mechanic for both EMS and law enforcement agencies. Mr. Cleaves then took a position with American Eurocopter working as a field rep., field service manager and later Director of Technical Support Department. Before coming to Air Evac EMS, Inc., he served as Director of Maintenance for Med-Trans Corporation.

Kelly Cox, MD, FACEP

Senior Medical Director

Dr. Cox graduated from New York Medical College in 1999. While completing his emergency medicine training, he served as chief resident in Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Ill. During that time he also completed research involving the utilization of ultrasound for airway assessment. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. In addition to his duties with Air Evac EMS, Dr. Cox also serves as the Medical Director for the Quincy Area Emergency Medical Services System. His special interests include airway management, emergency medical services/prehospital care, simulator educator, aeromedicine, critical care medicine and EMS research.

David Granowski

Director of Completion Center

Mr. Granowski has more than 29 years of rotor wing maintenance experience in positions ranging from mechanic, crew chief and technical inspector with the U.S. Army to base mechanic, Operations Supervisor, Maintenance Controller, Regional Mechanic and Training Manager with two different helicopter EMS operations. More than 26 years of his experience has been with the Bell 206 series aircraft.

David Hardin

Director of Safety

Mr. Hardin comes to Air Evac Lifeteam with more than 30 years of aviation experience. He started life as an Army Aviator flying the Aero Scout mission and has a wide and diverse range of experience including offshore, Law Enforcement, Tours, HEMS and an extensive background in safety and training. He's held industry positions as an FAA Check Airman, Chief Pilot, Director of Operations and General Manager. His career has taken him to some of the most beautiful parts of the world from EMS in the mountains of Washington State to tours in Hawaii and the Grand Canyon. 

Mary Harrison

Director of Patient Accounts

Ms. Harrison has extensive experience in air ambulance billing, having worked for Air Evac EMS, Inc., for more than 10 years, 8 of those in supervisory positions. Prior to her employment with Air Evac, she was employed by a bookkeeping firm and also worked for a tax service. She has also worked in the manufacturing and retail industry.

Valerie Henning

Director of Accounting

Ms. Henning has more than 12 years of experience in the field of accounting, eight of which have been with Air Evac Lifeteam, serving as Accounting Department Manager and Director of Accounting. She graduated cum laude from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.

Joy Johncox

Director of Resource Utilization

Ms. Johncox brings more than 35 years of experience to her role as Director of Resource Utilization. Her clinical experience includes critical care nursing and emergency and flight nursing. She has held numerous management and supervisory positions in Upstate New York, Arizona and Missouri, serving as Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager and Nursing Supervisor. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Alfred University in upstate New York and served as an affiliate faculty member for the Missouri State Univerity School of Nursing, Seminar Instructor for numerous critical care topics and Paramedic Instruction in New York State.

Trish Maher

Director of Communications

Ms. Maher has more than 20 years of experience in workforce development, change management and call center transformations in the communications industry. She hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications. As an entrepreneur in the broadband communications industry, she authored and led hundreds of projects in large call center environments and new technology integrations. Ms. Maher has led major workforce and call center innovations in organizations such as Time Warner, Yahoo, Schering Plough Pharmaceuticals, Axia Health Management, Cox Communications, Comcast, America Online, and many others.

Tim Pickering

Director of Public Affairs

Mr. Pickering has 31 years of EMS and critical care experience, ranging from critical care ground and flight paramedic, division manager, county-wide EMS Supervisor, owner/operator of an ambulance service and paramedicine clinical instructor. Prior to joining Air Evac EMS, Inc., in 2004, Mr. Pickering served as Risk Manager for MedFlight of Ohio. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Human Resource Management from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio, and a Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Pickering has been active with the Association of Air Medical Services, having served as treasurer and currently serving as Region III Board Member and Vice-President. He also chairs the Vision Zero Committee and serves on state regulatory rewrite committees in Tennessee, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Missouri and Iowa.

Angela Riley

Director of Membership Services

Ms. Riley has a diverse background in sales and call center work. Before coming to work for Air Evac EMS, she worked in call centers for Fairfield Resorts and Staples. Her sales experience includes work in perfume industry and for Ambath/Rebah. She also worked as a sales and marketing assistant for Rossmar & Graham, a property management company in Scottsdale, Arizona. Her duties included handling company contracts, proposals, marketing and events. She was later promoted to Director of Human Resources, handling benefits, payroll and personnel issues. She attended Drury University in Springfield, Mo.

Sue Roberts

Director of Supply Chain

Ms. Roberts has more than 25 years experience as a manager and engineer in communications and research and development environments including aerospace and telecom. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology/Chemistry from the University of Arkansas - Little Rock and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri. She is currently working on a Masters in Project Management from Keller Graduate School, Kansas City. She worked for more than 10 years at Boeing Military Airplane Company as an electrical design engineer and six years at Sprint Long Distance where she served as a lead senior network design engineer with 12 engineers and an annual budget of $70 million. Ms. Roberts has been with Air Evac Lifeteam for five years; four as Research and Development Manager and one year as Director of Supply Chain.

Juan Serrano

Director of Information Technology

Mr. Serrano is an accomplished technology professional with over 14 years of Information Technology management experience focused on achieving competitive advantage through the effective development and integration of technology within an organization. Prior to joining Air Evac, Mr. Serrano spent 7 years at American Airlines in multiple IT management roles, leading several key customer-facing technology initiatives. He also held the position of Strategic Consultant for the American Heart Association. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Cox Business School at Southern Methodist University.

Debra Williams

Director of Human Resources

Ms. Williams has more than 14 years of Human Resource experience, predominately in the healthcare industry, but also in manufacturing and retail organization. She is experienced in an array of human resource functions including strategic planning, performance planning, organizational development, training, staffing, benefits administration, employment law and employee relations. Before joining Air Evac Lifeteam, Ms. Williams served in a variety of senior positions with Cardinal Health and Lifepoint Hospitals. She is a Certified Behavioral Event Interviewer and a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). She graduated from Nazarene Bible College with a focus in Psychology.

Debbie Wilson

Director of Patient Accounts

Ms. Wilson has 17 years of accounting and medical billing experience. She has been with Air Evac EMS, Inc. for 13 years, working in the Patient Accounts Department for the last 10 years, holding positions of biller and Department Manager. She has extensive experience in development of systems and department procedures in a rapidly growing segment of the company. She attended Missouri State University with emphasis in General Business. 

Jeff Davis

Regional Director of Base Operations

Mr. Davis brings more than 27 years of experience in EMS, both as a paramedic and EMS Director, to his position at Air Evac Lifeteam. He began working for Air Evac Lifeteam in 2003 as an Early Activation Coordinator and was later promoted to the role of Area Manager and then Regional Director of Base Operations. In 2006 he was appointed by the Governor of Tennessee to serve a 4-year term on the State EMS Board. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Organization Management from Bethel College and also is an ordained minister. He is also a Certified Medical Transport Executive.

Mike Eastlee

Regional Director of Base Operations

Mr. Eastlee brings 24 years experience in the air medical industry. While attending Purdue University, Mike enlisted in the Army and is a decorated Viet Nam Veteran. Mike has served as an air medical line pilot, Safety Manager, Pilot Base Manager, Chief Pilot, Director of Air Medical Services for a large Air Medical Operator, Vice President of Service Development, consultant, and Air Medical Program Director. Mike brings a wide range of dedicated leadership skills to  Air Evac as the Regional Director of Base Operations for Texas.

Joe Grygiel

Regional Director of Base Operations

With more than 17 years of EMS experience, Mr. Grygiel has served as paramedic and flight paramedic, as well as administrator of the North Jefferson County Ambulance District. He began working for Air Evac Lifeteam in 2002 as a flight paramedic. In 2004 he was named an Area Manager and in 2008 began his duties as Regional Director of Base Operations. He is a Certified Medical Transport Executive and possesses an Associate Degree in Business Management.

Janie Ward

Regional Director of Base Operations

Graduating from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Ky., with an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing, Ms. Ward moved into healthcare full time. From 1994 to 1998 she worked at Livingston Regional Hospital in various management roles for the facility concluding her time there as Nursing Supervisor for the 116-bed hospital. She served as a staff nurse at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in the emergency department, step-down and ICU. She began her career with Air Evac Lifeteam in 2000 and during that time she worked as membership coordinator, flight nurse, Base Nurse Supervisor, Regional Nurse Manager and Area Manager.

Tim Fulton

Chief Pilot

Mr. Fulton became a pilot at the age of 16 and four years later received his commercial and flight instructor rating. In 1988 he purchased his first helicopter, a Bell 47, and started a helicopter rides and flight training business. In 1992 the business entered into the helicopter spray industry, acquiring numerous government contracts.  Mr. Fulton joined Air Evac Lifeteam in 2003 when the company opened a base in his home town of Salem Mo. He worked as a line pilot, then base pilot supervisor. In 2007 he joined the Air Evac Flight Training Department and was named Chief Pilot in 2009.

Chuck Atkins

Regional Director of Flight Operations

Mr. Atkins' aviation history includes 12 years of flying EMS in Oklahoma and Arkansas and 21 years as an aviator in the U.S. Army. While in the military, he flew Apache helicopters and received the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with Valor. He is rated as an Airline Transport Pilot and a Certified Flight Instructor. Mr. Atkinsis a graduate of Kansas State University. He has flown for Rocky Mountain Helicopters and Air Evac of Tulsa before joining Air Evac EMS.

Sam Cain

Regional Director of Flight Operations

A 1985 graduate of the United States Army Aviation School, Mr. Cain has been involved in aviation for more than 27 years in a variety of leadership capacities. He retired as a commissioned officer after serving 20 years with the Illinois Army National Guard. While in the Guard, Mr. Cain served in international deployments in South America and Europe and was awarded and recognized for his accomplishments as a leader. He has also served as a Supervisory Maintenance Test Pilot for the U.S. Department of Defense and worked as a corporate pilot for 10 years flying SK-76 and turbojets. He attended the Southern Illinois University School of Aviation Management.

Mark Fisher

Regional Director of Flight Operations

Mr. Fisher began his civilian flying career in 1991 following a career in law enforcement in Texas. He focused on flight instruction, charter, film/video production and utility flying in Arizona, California and Florida until his entry into EMS in 1997 with Critical Air Medicine (CAM). He held the title of Chief Pilot and later Director of Operations with CAM until the company's Texas area helicopter operations were acquired by Air Evac EMS, Inc., in 2005. In addition to his duties as Regional Director of Flight Operations for Texas, Mr. Fisher also serves as a company Check Airman. Mr. Fisher holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate and is rated as a Certified Instrument Flight Instructor.

Don Foldy

Regional Director of Flight Operations

Mr. Foldy has been with Air Evac EMS since 2003, serving as a base pilot for three years before being promoted to Regional Flight Operations Management. He previously worked 15 years with TWA/American as Captain with multiple type ratings, both domestic and international. He also served as Aviation Accident Investigator specializing in medical aspects/ trauma/mechanism. Prior to that work he served as a Forensic Crime Scene Investigator in Dade County, Fla., and as law enforcement pilot in Orange County, Fla. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Forensic Sciences and has logged more than 17,000 hours of flight time.

Scott Ward

Regional Director of Flight Operations

After graduating in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from Carson-Newman College, Mr. Ward entered the U.S. Army as a Second Lieutenant where he obtained helicopter flight training. He has more than 18 years of rotor wing experience in flight positions with the U.S. Army and in the Gulf of Mexico prior to coming to work for Air Evac Lifeteam in 1998. He has held several positions within Air Evac Lifeteam, including Base Manager, Assistant Chief Pilot and Regional Director of Flight Operations. Mr. Ward also completed his Master's Degree in Business Administration through the University of Phoenix.
